What is Foundation Repair?

Foundation Repair Services

Why start offering foundation repair services?

In 2014, Erickson Construction Co., Inc. began offering new products and services in an effort to help fill a void in the home improvement industry in New Hampshire. There were few foundation repair service providers in the area, and it quickly became evident to us this service was highly needed for property owners and homeowners. When Erickson Foundation Supportworks was created, we joined a nationwide network of foundation repair professionals and structural engineers. This, combined with our 36 years of general contracting experience, makes us the premier foundation repair service provider in New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.

Which homes are prone to foundation failure?

Essentially, almost any home with a traditional concrete or block foundation is going to be subject to any number of foundation issues. This is not always due to the foundation itself, but rather these issues are generally related to the soils beneath and surrounding the foundation. No matter how well built a home may be, if the soil underneath the home is not properly prepared, or if natural voids develop due to erosion, then the home is at risk of settling, sinking, or other similar issues. Do you replace the failing foundations?

When we started telling people we did foundation repair, the assumption was we jacked up houses, removed the existing foundation, and replaced it with an all new foundation system. While this is sometimes true, the majority of our solutions are designed to avoid having to replace the existing foundation. The process of jacking up a house and pouring a new foundation is costly and timely. The benefit of our repair services and customized systems, is they focus on addressing the real issue, which is the soil under or surrounding the foundation. Our solutions save homeowners time and money, and our consultations/inspections are completely free.

Sinking foundations, settling foundations, bowing walls, leaning chimneys, sinking patios or sidewalks, wall cracks, uneven floors or beams: we fix it all.
